The past two years have brought significant changes in healthcare, presenting payers with new challenges – and new opportunities – to providing affordable pharmacy care.  Working together with our clients in 2015, we were able to address the major factors threatening affordable and sustainable pharmacy care, keeping the increase in drug spending to just 5.2% while reducing patients’ average monthly copayments.

As we look ahead, we are focused on continuing to provide the best possible benefit for payers and patients. This week, hundreds of our clients will join us again for our annual Outcomes Symposium, where together we will explore new and better ways to solve the challenges of this evolving healthcare landscape, reduce costs and improve care.

Moving Healthcare Forward Together

For 30 years, our clients have relied on our legacy of innovation, action and alignment to put medicine within reach for their members. Novel, industry leading solutions, such as those offered through our SMSafeGuardRx program, deliver patient access to break-through medications while shielding our clients from unknown costs and uncertain clinical outcomes.

The abundant research pipeline is full of innovation that offers tremendous promise for patients, particularly those with complex and chronic conditions. At Outcomes 2016, experts, industry leaders and trend forecasters, such as futurist Daniel Burrus, Regeneron Inc. CEO Leonard Schleifer, MD, PhD, and Express Scripts’ chief medical officer Steve Miller, MD, will help payers understand and prepare for these future pharmaceutical discoveries.

Moving Patient Care Forward Together

To us and to our clients, patients matter most. Healthcare technology and innovation in the industry, and at Express Scripts, offers payers an opportunity to deliver an optimal pharmacy experience to their members.  This week, our innovation team, led by Glen Stettin, MD, and Don Fotsch, will demonstrate how high-tech healthcare has moved from concept to reality, making quality patient care and service possible everywhere.

Our annual event is a time to gain new insights, discover best practices and participate in discussions about the future of pharmacy. Check here often as we highlight how we are moving pharmacy forward together.
